Lee Basselen is the founder and owner of Apex Steel Services. His background in construction and specifically in Steel Fabrication and Erection is extensive having grown up in the business. He started as a teenager in the Fab Shop of Basselen Steel and moved to the field as an erector.
After serving his country in the US Marine Corps, Lee worked as Assistant Plant Manager for American Stair Corporation. He returned to Basselen Steel as an estimator and finally as Vice President of Operations. Diverse projects that he gained experience on to include Maintainance Buildings at Chicago O'Hare Airport, Comisky Park, Soldier Field Stadium, Unocal Refinery, Walmart Superstores and multilevel hotels. Just to mention a few.
Now at Apex Steel Services Inc. We have completed projects ranging from Canopys, Handrails, Major addition, to full building packages. General Contractors that have utilized our Services include but not limited to: Moline Construction Inc. Ryan Companies US Inc. AR Mays Construction Inc., Baker Construction Inc. and Sundt Construction Inc.
